EAT ME!

Hey, The next 2 weeks we are talking about surviving Holiday dinners from a multi-cultural, multi-generational standpoint and then the inevitable New Year's resolution. At our home in the past, there was always the 300 year old coveted egg-nog recipe (with Rum and raw egg), buttery Christmas cookies, Turkeys, ham, potatoes and everyone gobble-gobbled. There was not a salad or simple veggie in sight. Luckily my family was either nervous, energetic or athletic and we could lose 5 lbs by just standing up. Those were the days. Now lbs packed on stay on UGH! I now have issues with Casein and my friends and family are going down the Gluten free path! I am seriously thinking of having food content labels by each dish. NOT with all ingredients but just saying EAT ME, I am cheese-less!

oink, oink

tis the season.

Gobble, gobble, ho, ho, ho or in America OINK, OINK. Just remember that the only "real" food I can think of that colors your tongue on the way in and the other stuff on the way out is beets. Any other Holiday colored, festivity oriented, Fatty fun food may not be the best for you no matter how pretty!!!! Fa la la

So, just for fun please share with me the pretty colored festivity foods that make you turn funny colored on the inside and FAT on the outside....... I promise I won't share this info with a soul......

How to find homecare assistance

I can tell you what worked for me. In times of need, it is personally rewarding to help others. A loving friend in need may be a wonderful solution to finding a caregiver for a grateful aging parent. Take the initiative and ask…you may actually be helping a friend and your loved one at the sametime.

…share what worked for you?
